Why Letters from Corinth?

The church in Corinth was very, very influential in the spread of the good news of the gospel to the new world.

Located in the middle of a primary trade route Corinth was a city that was prime with visitors traveling through as well as a thriving population, all of whom needed to hear the good news of the gospel.

The irony of the situation is in the fact that as influential and as anointed as the church in Corinth was in spreading the gospel to the world, they dealt with real issues; the sins of the world, separating themselves on their new path from their old path, and just the weight of being flawed. Because of this the Apostle Paul had to spend a great amount of time explaining and correcting them to become the church that they needed to be. In doing so gave us two very influential books in the canonical new testament in the books of 1 Corinthians, and 2 Corinthians forever solidifying their place anointing, and their place in history, and affecting the lives of every believer since as they read the biblical epistles of the Apostle Paul.
